The first double-session day for FC Barcelona is over. The first day of the 2013/14 preseason saw Tito Vilanova’s men complete two training sessions this Tuesday, the first at 9.00 and the second at 19.00. It’s worth noting that the Blaugrana will train twice a day through Friday. 

This evening’s session was very similar to this morning’s as Vilanova and his staff led the first team in physical conditioning. The following players participated in this evening’s session: Pinto, Oier,Montoya, Bartra, Mascherano, Adriano, Song, Sergi Roberto,Dos Santos, Messi, Tello and Alexis. 

In addition to the players mentioned above, three players - Puyol, Afellay and Cuenca - were also present but they were unable to participate with the group. The first two are recovering from their respective injuries and the third didn’t participate due to a cervical contusion. The next training session is scheduled for Wednesday, at 9.00, at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

Today saw the start of the 2013/14 pre-season with the players’ regular medical checkups and we look below at the transfer activity at the Club so far this summer – with one signing, five players moving on and three sent out on loan.

Neymar the big name signing

On May 26^th 2013, Barça and Santos announced the transfer of the Brazilian. The deal was for 5 years and ensured a star filled attack for the team next season, with the recent Confederations Cup Player of the Tournament set to link up with World Number One Leo Messi.

Abidal, Villa and Thiago end their time at Barça

Three of Barça’s most important players over recent seasons – Abidal, Villa and Thiago  left the Club this summer. The contract of the Frenchman  - recovered from his illness – came to an end and after 6 years at the Camp Nou, he signed for Monaco.

Spanish striker David Villa also left the Club – signing for Atletico Madrid after three seasons at Barça – intent on setting himself new goals and determined to lay out his case for a role in the 2014 World Cup.

Finally, Thiago Alcántara has also said goodbye to the Club, signing for Bayern Munich this Sunday in a deal worth 25 million Euros and a friendly game in Munich at some time over the next four years.

Muniesa and Deulofeu off to England

The two youngsters left Barça for the Premier League this summer, with Muniesa signing a four year deal with Mark Hughes’ Stoke City and Deulofeu going out for a season’s loan to Evertion, under their new boss, the Catalan Robert Martíne. 

Fontàs and Rafinha join Luis Enrique at Celta

Andreu Fontàs finished his one year loan deal with Mallorca and signed for Luis Enrique for one million euros, whilst Rafinha has returned to Vigo on a year’s loan to get first team game time after recently signing a new contract with Barça until 2016.

Bojan to Ajax

The Catalan striker left Milan, where he was out on loan, for another big name European side – Ajax Amsterdam on a one year deal, with the possibility of a further year’s extension. Bojan, who has previously been out on loan to Roma and Milan, is under contract to Barça until 2015.

Thank you, Thiago

The players continued their preparations for Sunday’s home league clash with Rayo Vallecano (9 pm kickoff) with another training session on Saturday morning. Xavi is still recovering from a hamstring problem that will force him out of Sunday’s line-up and took no part in the session. Also missing was Carles Puyol, following his knee operation on Friday.

Oier to back up Pinto

First choice keeper Víctor Valdés is suspended for the Rayo game so Barça B goalkeeper Oier Olazábal trained with the senior squad on Saturday as cover for José Manuel Pinto. Last weekend against Deportivo, Jordi Masip was on the bench as substitute goalkeeper.

The players will have a final training session behind closed doors at 12 pm on Sunday in the Camp Nou.

티아고의 패스를 받아 라모스를 앞에두고 왼발로 골망을 가르며 0-1로 뒤져있던 때에 동점골을 성공시켰다

팀은 아쉽게 1-2로 패했지만, 리오넬 메시의 대 기록이 수립되었다

레알 마드리드는 1.5군을 내보냈지만, 바르샤는 별로 힘을 쓰지 못했다 문제가 있어 보였다

티아고는 후반으로 가면서 체력적으로 지쳐보였고 볼터치가 좋지 않았다 

지금 가장 시급한 것 중 하나는 메시가 너무 많이 중앙으로 내려오는 것과 비야의 윙포워드 포지션에서의 파괴력 저하 등이 

있을 수 있겠지만 알베스의 폼 저하와 푸욜의 후계자 영입이 지연되고 있는것이 아닐까 생각한다

레알의 신예인 모라타는 훌륭했고, 페페 역시 미드필더에서 뛰어난 활약을 보였다 카카도 무난했다 

이니에스타는 사비가 없는 중앙을 잘 지켜주었지만 번뜩이는 무언가가 부족했고, 수비는 견고하지 못했다

무리뉴는 아주 영리한 사람인 것 같다 바르샤에게 닥친 이 문제들을 차분하게 해결해 갔으면 한다

오늘 경기는 재미있었다고 말할 수는 없지만 레이저 공격만 없었다면 더 훌륭한 경기가 아닐까 생각해봤다

물론 호날두는 최고의 활약을 펼쳤고 우리가 경기에서 졌지만, 최근의 실패를 딛고 올라서야만 한다

어서 빨리 빌라노바가 돌아오기를 기도한다
