Per sempre
Friday, October 6th, 2017 was Andrés Iniesta's day. That's when FC Barcelona announced it had re-signed the 33-year-old midfielder to the first lifetime contract it had ever offered in the history of the first team. And why not? Iniesta is a symbol of blaugrana dominance and has been an integral pice of the current era of triumph and success. Iniesta came to Barça from his native Albacete at the age of 12 and, after debuting with the first team in 2003, he went on to become the first team captain while bagging a club record 30 titles throughout his 15 seasons with the senior team.
Follow us as we give you an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at Iniesta and FCB President Josep Maria Bartomeu signing the deal at Camp Nou, followed by photo sessions in the grandstand and down on the field. Iniesta's day concluded with a press conference in which the always humble Iniesta lauded the Club, the Barça fans, and his teammates while articulating his sheer joy at having been given the opportunity to spend the rest of his life with Barça.
